Mega-Alpha Cutter #2 Action for PS by Mega-Doodle Inspired

This action can be used to cut out and save many things, but its main focus is saving alphas/numbers/special characters.

There are two actions in this package. The first action, Auto Saving/Naming, will cut out your alpha based on a grid provided in this package. It does not require any interaction from you during the action; however, you will be required to create a folder on your C: before the action begins. This action will cut, trim, name, and save each piece of the grid. The downside to this action is that it will not work on a MAC.

The second action, You Choose Location/Name, requires interaction every step of the way, but it allows for further personalization on your part. You get to choose the save location and name of each file. While this may seem a little tedious, it’s still faster than doing it all yourself without the action. This action will work on a MAC and Windows.

The grid that comes with this action is sized 14 inches wide by 12.5 inches tall. It has 6 columns and 5 rows for a total of 30 spots on the grid. Every spot on the grid must have something in it for the action to run correctly.

Each of these actions will trim and save every block on the grid as separate png files. It will also save the full sheet in one .png file at the end of the action.

I have included a tutorial with detailed directions on how best to use this action. I have also included two mega-grid.psd files. One has only the grid. The second has several flattened sheets of alphas/numbers/special characters for you to play with. I used three standard fonts that come with your PS install. They are Arial Black, Times New Roman, and Courier New. Simply overlay your papers, add some elements, or add some layer styles and then run the action!
